1. What is your artform and/or vision?

This artform is "hi-resonance" sound vibration for personal and planetary activation and restoration. I also call it "otherworld soul." The music of TELEKTONE is directly inspired by the Telektonon prophecy of Pacal Votan as transmitted through José Argüelles/Valum Votan, the "closer of the cycle." This prophecy speaks of humanity returning to natural time as the way to avoid biospheric destruction. Through music we may awaken the soul (consciousness), attune the spirit, activate the cosmic warrior of intelligence and fearlessness, and rise to this unprecedented opportunity to bring balance, love, and harmony to the planetary whole. This music is intended to serve as part of the soundtrack for the shift, as humanity moves consciously toward greater simplicity and unity.

2. What other artists inspire you?

I've been musically inspired by several artists including Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Sun Ra, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, and Alice Coltrane to name a few. I'm a child of Hip Hop music and culture, which expanded my awareness about all types of profound sound art, past and present, from around the world. I am also deeply inspired by so much of the great music that's being created and expressed by the Now generation of artists around the planet. And I especially love seeing how the musical arts intersects with the many other art forms being expressed and explored.

3. What does the phrase "Time is Art" mean to you?

The phrase "Time is Art" evokes a liberating feeling within me. To me, it speaks of the human inclination toward connection, creativity and beauty, the true essence of Nature. It is our true nature to be as One with all life. This begins with giving ourselves the permission to be creative and seek truth and beauty within so that we may witness it all around. "Time is Art" also indicates that we must re-evaluate what is important to us and how we determine or declare worth. As we become more conscious of our roles, responsibilities, and relationship with all life, we're better able to live our lives as creative, inspired expressions of art that restores, enhances and ensures a greater quality of life for all. This shift in consciousness represents the fulfillment of prophecy, the world over. I like to say, "ART is at the heART of the eARTh."
